ABANDON THE OLD SELF,
ALL WHO ENTER HERE
Â
So-
have you had enough yet?
Â
-
LIVING IN THE SAME YEAR ON LOOP
You keep telling yourself this will be the year you finally change things.
Then it’s June. Or September. Or December -
LETTING EMOTIONSÂ RUN WORK AND MONEY
You impulse spend, avoid looking at your bank account, delay financial decisions based on how things feel in the moment. -
ALWAYS FEELING BEHINDÂ
Just a constant low-grade sense that you’re late to your own life and unsure how to reset without burning everything down. -
STUCK INSIDE YOUR OWN HEAD
Chronic over-thinker yet somehow all that hasn’t translated into consistent forward movement. -
SELF-TRUST HANGING BY A THREADÂ
Not because you’re incapable but because you keep starting and stopping. -
WAITING FOR LIFE TO HAND YOU CONTROL
You assume you’ll lead once life feels manageable and there's less friction but that never happens
Â
 so here's
 WHERE THE SHIFT COMES IN
-
WE GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER
We clear physical clutter, behavioral mess, and avoidance patterns. -
YOU BECOME YOUR OWN DOM
You stop letting moods and impulses run the show and practice decisive self-leadership: choose, commit, hold the line. -
FEELINGSÂ STOP RUNNINGÂ MONEY AND WORK
You separate emotion from execution by building daily money visibility and neutral contact with reality. No spiraling, no avoidance. -
SELF-TRUST IS REBUILT THROUGH DAILY ACTION
Instead of hype or motivation, you train self-trust by showing up every day inside tight, simple containers -
DISCIPLINE BECOMES SACRED
Daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms turn discipline into protection—not punishment—making consistency feel natural instead of forced. -
CLARITYÂ AND DIRECTION DOWNLOADED
Big goals become real projects with constraints, timelines, and a clear plan for the next three quartersÂ
How we do it in
THE SHIFT:
40 days. 5 minutes a day. Advent calendar style.
Â
-
40 days. Long enough to break old patterns and build new ones without blowing up your life.
-
5 minute videos every day. Short video lessonsÂ
- One exercise daily. To force contact with the things you usually skip, rationalize, or postpone and replace with deliberate action.
- Regulation Practice Throughout. Time Management. Meditation. (I know but you can do it for 40 days). Nervous System Reset
-
Weekly Live Checkpoint. A weekly 1 hour class for accountabilityÂ
- Daily unlocks. No bingeing, no spiraling ahead, no pretending consumption equals change.
-
Self-leadership by repetition. You show up, you follow through, you prove to yourself you’re in charge again.
Â
It sits at the intersection of neuroplasticity, habit formation, and nervous system conditioning.
-
The brain changes through repetition + consistency, not intensity.
-
New neural pathways strengthen when the same action is repeated daily with low friction.
-
Research on habit formation shows meaningful behavioral change begins around 30–45 days, especially when the action is simple and emotionally neutral.
-
Short daily actions reduce amygdala resistance (threat response), which is why people don’t quit when the task feels manageable.
-
Repeated follow-through builds self-efficacy- the brain’s belief that “I do what I say,” which directly increases self-control and decision-making capacity.Â
What do you do during the 40 days?
Is it spiritual? Mindset? Practical? Creative?
How much time does it take?
Whats the outcome?
ABOUT YOUR TEACHER (AND THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT)
I'm Laurken (lar-kin), internationally published wedding photographer, industry teacher, homeschool (unschooling) mother, farmer, writer and so many other things.Â
Â
My methodology is simple, loving AND unforgiving: stop outsourcing control to your feelings, your past or your excuses, and start practicing self-leadership through daily action that actually changes how you operate.
I believe grown people can hear hard truths, sit with discomfort, and follow through if they can grasp a few key concepts and practices.
I find that most of the success people say they want is buried inside the exact work they’ve been most avoiding because it’s inconvenient, hard or boring.Â
Business forces us to confront ourselves like few other things and that's why I believe its one of the highest spiritual undertakings.
This isn’t mindset coaching, manifestation, or motivational theater- its behavioral training for people who are done whining about where they are and ready to become someone who can hold what they say they want.
If you’re looking to continue to victimize yourself, this isn’t for you; if you’re ready to stop lying to yourself and start leading your own life, let's get to it.
